Start on foot
From Juliadas, Carcavelos beach is around a fifteen-minute walk and Oeiras station around ten minutes away. Everyday shops, cafés and the NOVA SBE area are also within walking distance.
Take the coastal train
The Linha de Cascais follows the Tagus and Atlantic shoreline. Trains make Lisbon an easy day or evening trip, while Cascais lies in the opposite direction. Always check the current timetable before leaving, especially late in the evening.
A practical rhythm
Spend the morning on the beach, return to the apartment or shared pool, and take the train into Lisbon later. A Viva Viagem or contactless option may be available depending on the current transport system. Comfortable shoes are useful because the neighbourhood and seafront are best explored on foot.
